SWIMMINGPOOLS AND OUTDOOR BATHS
SunnLab carry out analyses of water, both in regular swimmingpools and outdoor baths. The water must not be dangerous to health, and should have a fresh and clear look without any unwanted colour.
Forskrift for badeanlegg, bassengbad og badstu and Vannkvalitetsnormer for friluftsbad frå Statens Forureiningstilsyn together makes up regulations for both visual conditions, test frequencies, microbiological and chemical conditions.
The water in a pool should be clear, without any colour, and appealing for swimming. At all swimmingpools there must be taken samples at a decent frequency to monitor the water quality and secure hygienic conditions. Showers should be controlled according to Legionella and to avoid spreading of infections.
Water in outdoor baths, both seawater and freshwater, can be polluted from wastewater from small boats etc. In the summer it is normally warmer in the water, which can pave way for a resurgence of algiers and bacterias.
NB! To fetch a sample of water that do not contain chloride, it is important to use a sterile bottle. This can be supplied from SunnLab AS
